High: It's been a long, but good, day. I'm actually enjoying my classes. Who knew that Methods of Statistics and Elementary Analysis could be fun? I guess maybe now it's nice to be filling in those blanks from before (where Mr. Tarasawa would prove something in 2 seconds)
Low: Get to work at 8am, leave at 8:30pm (including school too). Man, I've gotta remember to take school into account better at the end of the month when I submit my timesheet.
Random: Man, I look young in a lot of the pictures on this site (especially in the projects section). I need to pick up the slack and get some work done here (I can hear Bob yelling "Here here!")
When: 9/26/2003 7:46:07 AM
High: A great conversation online with a friend last night and some more clarifty on some decisions ahead of me.
Low: Ack - still gotta get this stuff moved around the appartment! :(
Random: I was playing with Google and found this last night... d.g. brown, are you there?
When: 9/25/2003 12:26:16 AM
High: Well, I just got back from a week-long trip to San Diego. It was sooo much fun. It's one of those trips that stays with you. I could write pages about it all the good stuff :)
Low: Saying goodbye to Lily and Maiko. So sad. But they're only a phone call away, so it's not too bad.
Random: My future roommate is hooked on boba (aka bubble or pearl) tea. He was on the trip and I think we tried all the places in SD that sell it :-P
When: 9/10/2003 12:49:58 AM
High: Well, still enjoying the liquid sunshine! (sorry Cali people) Oh yeah, and some cool news, I'll soon be having a roommate. Should be very cool :)
Low: Now I just need to work up some energy and get this apt ready for two people. Work work work. I need more coffee :-P
Random: So, apparently it costs me $6 a month to not have long-distance. Weird, huh? Since I have an AT&T cell phone, I get service with no service charge and a free hour each month (works for me). Sweet deal, though confusing.
When: 9/8/2003 1:09:34 AM
High: Hanging out with friends and this awesome weather. After it being 90+ for weeks, a little rain is very nice (4th generation Oregonian, I think...)
Low: Not getting the apt stuff ready that I wanted to, plus a place I needed to go yesterday closed just before I got there
Random: :)
When: 9/5/2003 10:20:33 AM
High: Getting to talk to some friends I hadn't hear from and seeing how they're doing :)
Low: Not winning a radio contest by one phone call (the guy before me got the answer right) :(
Random: If it's going to be so warm in Eugene, we should at least have palm trees or something...
When: 8/25/2003 12:40:38 AM
High: Actually, a couple things. First, service at First Baptist was awesome today. Second, I got to spend some quality time with friends last night, which was fun.
Low: Unfortunately one of those friends (in fact the reason we all hung out) left for a long term study abroad this morning. Korea's not as far away as it used to be, though :)
Random: Many things in life are a lot easier to do when there's no time left to do them. But like my homework of past (and, ugh, of future), it really should have been done earlier.
When: 8/17/2003 8:25:17 PM
High: It's been a pretty fun weekend, though I haven't gotten much done. It has been a got opportunity to relax :)
Low: Still need more sleep :-P (I'm pretty out of it at the moment)
Random: Sometimes it seems that the most mature decisions are those that most directly oppose what we inherently want to do.
When: 7/23/2003 2:30:01 AM
High: There was a lot of today that I enjoyed, from walking around campus to hanging out with people.
Low: I wasn't in a good mood today. I think I got really bad sleep last night since it was so warm. Plus I got a lot of flack for the site being down.
Random: Apparently my eye color has changed. For most of my life I've had hazel eyes (green outer ring, light brown inner ring). The brown ring is now more of a green-ish brown (and it a lot smaller) and the green part is now blue-gray. Pretty weird...
When: 7/21/2003 7:31:26 AM
High: A really good conversation with a friend last night. At least someone out there listens to my advice :-P
Low: I didn't get much done over the weekend. A lot of it due to the weather (when your apartment is 93 degrees, you dont want to do much)
Random: Personality profiles are fun. I'm an INFJ (borderline INTJ - I think about it, then usually act on a feeling instead). It was part of the phone conversation the observation that INFJ's tend to fall for other INFJ's when it comes to dating. Oh yeah, INFJ stands for Introverted iNtuitive Feeling Judging. It was just very interesting to think about.
When: 7/17/2003 2:13:22 PM
High: Last night was really fun. I got to eat some really good food (compliments of Rob Yee and Mike Han) and I got to see Pirates of the Caribbean, which I recommend.
Low: Getting passed over for the first "Bob is Pround" Award. I'll keep in trying, though. Purkey's Site deserves an award :)
Random: I saw this big bird on the freeway chasing these little birds in cirlces. As I got close I realized it was a huge bird, and that it was now hovering. As I got closer I realized it was hay. A big clump of hay the side of a small person just floating there. Then I realized the little birds were also hay. It tighten my grip on the steering wheel just before feeling a little jerk as I drove through the dust devil. It was a pretty good sized one, spanning across both directions of I-5.
When: 7/7/2003 12:14:32 AM
High: Lots of 'em! I had a really great fourth of July with friends, got in some time at the driving range with my dad, got to spend some time with my grandparents, and got to see a family friend I hadn't seen in a long time. All in all, it was a great weekend :)
Low: My car has a new clicking sound that it's starting to make. Ack. I hope it's something cheap! (I've lucked out before...)
Random: So I got pulled over this weekend. No worries, though - it was just because I was acting lost (because I was - I still don't get North Beaverton at times) and he just wanted to make sure everything was on the up (ya gotta be careful the night of the 4th). I was a little embarrassed - I had Subway stickers stuck to my vehicle registration card... :-P
When: 6/29/2003 10:21:35 PM
High: A nice looooong drive down to California just for the heck of it. I was a lot of fun. I think my next random road trip will be in daylight, though :)
Low: I'm still not sure how Linear Algebra has advanced so much in a year's time that they needed to release a new edition of the textbook. I think it's just a ploy to make it spend more on books (as if we have a choice).
Random: I'm coming down this hill after passing a truck. We're in a 65mph zone. I see this dog up ahead in the shoulder (I'm assuming a coyote from the area we were in) and so I start veering left. Just then I see it's friend in the lane ahead of me. I missed him by a few inches (which is kinda freaky at that speed). It didn't feel like I maneuvered that hard, but I could smell burning rubber, so maybe I did (tough choice: risk hitting it and losing control or risk swerving and losing control)
When: 6/27/2003 10:16:09 AM
High: So much to choose from! We had an awesome bbq at work yesterday plus I got to see a couple really good movies. And I'm starting to like eggs benedict scrambled :)
Low: Lots of little things stressin' me out, but nothing important in the long run...
Random: So I'm at McDonalds (no surprise there) in the drive-thru (the one on Franklin) and I hear this squealing sound and a commotion. I look over and this lady is trying to pass me on the right in a minivan in this narrow drive-thru. I'm just waiting to hear metal gashing, but somehow she made it through, only to get blocked behind the truck in front of me. I backed up to give her space and she gave me this nasty glare. I was happy when the guy in front left and she pulled out...
When: 6/3/2003 11:33:16 PM
High: Where to begin? There's been a lot of cool things today. Finally solving a problem at work, the weather, and lots of other stuff.
Low: Just a lack of time. After this week, I'll be a lot less stressed for time.
Random: What fun would life be if it was easy?
When: 4/8/2003 11:51:11 PM
High: Lately we've had a couple days with the most awesome weather. It was nice to get a chance to go for a walk and just enjoy the sunshine.
Low: Bills suck. I just got done paying some as I'm writing this.
Random: So this semi tractor was coming up to turn into Costco. He needed the outgoing lanes clear, so he let the car out that was there. All of a sudden cars were racing to get in, which ended up blocking everyone. The truck went anyway, but went over the curb, leaving his driving wheels spinning in the air. Nobody went anywhere for a few minutes until the truck could back itself up and take a wider approach, blocking the lot entrance and Chad Dr. Eventually everyone was able to go and nothing bad happenned. The irony being that people in a hurry got themsleves and everyone else stuck. So hopefully somebody learned a valuable lesson about being in a hurry. Plus I got to be amused at the site of a semi stuck on a curb with its driving wheels in the air as I was walking along. :-P
When: 3/31/2003 7:05:54 PM
High: A great weekend with my family. Between the archery range and moving furniture, I'm sure sore, but it was worth it :)
Low: Apparently I now have an allergy in the Portland area. Weird. Luckily, it's not as bad in Eugene. My lil' sis', though, isn't as lucky up there.
Random: I believe everyone has the same right to park at work, no matter how close they live, especially if they are not coming from/going to home. If people are pissy because they couldn't get a better spot, they should get to work earlier. It's not rocket science.
When: 3/25/2003 3:50:03 PM
High: A really good sandwich at lunch today. I mean, really good. A Swiss Dip on onion bread... Mmm...
Low: Icky weather and bordom setting in... Can't wait for people to be back in town from spring break :)
Random: Thousands of people speaking up against war and thousands speaking up in support. All in all, an awesome illustration of the freedoms we have in this country. Freedom we have because of the sacrifices of those before us. "V" for victory against those that would take away such freedom.
When: 3/19/2003 12:15:01 AM
High: Pretty average day. I guess it was getting a few things done that I wanted to.
Low: Once again, pretty average. I guess that would be the low. Nothing too exciting.
Random: So apparently this is a form of blog. Weird. All the rage I hear.
When: 2/17/2003 12:41:42 AM
High: Taking care of some projects and other stuff that I needed to get done.
Low: Still having more left to get done.
Random: Often is the mind much easier to convince than the heart. I'm sure there's a fortune cookie somwhere with that on it.
When: 1/28/2003 3:41:38 AM
High: A fun evening of bowling, playing football, hanging out, and even a surprise party for a good friend.
Low: Knowing how tired I'm going to be in the morning.
Random: Some achievements are not difficult to achieve, but difficult to live with, epecially when they make you different.
When: 10/24/2002 10:00:45 PM
High: So much stuff. First, I got this big project that has been rocking. It's awesome when something that you've put so much work into produces results!
Low: I can't really think of one. It was an excellent day.
Random: I cannot take credit for that which did not come from me, even if I had the opportunty of bringing it to others.
When: 10/22/2002 11:03:10 PM
High: There wasn't really one thing - more like a bunch of things
Low: Probably thinking too much today and not doing
Random: No matter how much something appears to be a certain way, the truth is that God is really the only one that knows for sure.
When: 10/21/2002 10:21:39 PM
High: Getting a lot of things done and things working out better than I had expected :)
Low: There not being enough hours in a day. I'm thinking of writing a bill to change that :-P
Random: Why is it that I can open up every box and every drawer looking for something that's sitting out in the open? I guess there's many things in life like that.
When: 10/16/2002 2:00:31 AM
High: A bunch of little things (getting the DB functions on the ACF site and this site up for instance). :)
Low: It was just one of those days - let's just leave it at that.
Random: You never know when you'll need a good inverse logarythm...
When: 4/8/2002 7:54:00 PM
High: Spring in nice. I like the additional sunshine :)
Low: Today was a loooooong day at work!
Random: Apparently, as I read on a website, if you put sliced cheese, in the wrapper, on a barbeque, it inflates and floats... Hmm...
When: 3/26/2002 1:17:00 PM
High: Not having school is nice. So is this awesome weather - it makes me want to go for a long bike ride.
Low: I still need to clean my room.
Random: Lunch goes a lot slower when you do a bunch of little things like grab food somewhere, hang out, and don't get stuck on one thing :)
When: 1/21/2002 12:46:00 AM
High: Not having school tomorrow is good. Also, I feel so much better being busy and around people (as opposed to during breaks).
Low: My little sister isn't doing so well, and it's tough being a big brother when I can't do anything to help. I'll just have to keep praying.
Random: I've been having these cinematic dreams lately. Like I'm living these different movies, for better or worse. It's pretty cool, but they all end the same way - with my alarm clock.
When: 12/20/2001 12:07:00 AM
High: A really fun time at lunch with a really cool VP taking us to lunch and getting cool stuff :)
Low: Okay, so on their website, the ticket office says they're open until 7pm at the EMU. Well, guess what closes at 5pm during winter break? The EMU! Darn.
Random: I need to update this thing for often. I get sooooooo busy that I just forget. That and my computer dying did keep me kinda busy.
When: 10/23/2001 11:58:00 PM
High: I think I like fu (I had some for lunch)
Low: Cowards killing innocent, hard-working Americans.
Random: Endangering the way of
life, the safety, the health, and the lives of Americans will only
strengthen our resolve to eliminate this terrorist threat. God Bless
America.
When: 10/8/2001 6:58:00 PM
High: I had a great relaxing weekend. I slept almost all of Saturday.
Low: 9.5 hours of work and 3 hours of school makes D.G. a very tired boy.
Random: D.G.'s inspirational quote of the day: "No matter our font, our smileys all look the same :)" -me (a couple minutes ago)
When: 9/28/2001 11:38:00 PM
High: A decent first week of school and getting the first verse of the rap from One Week sorta down...
Low: Sleep? What's that? Actually, once I figured out my alarm clocks were set an hour early, things got better...
Random: At work I'm second
youngest, but in school I'm an old person with a young campus.
Sometimes I feel both too and too young all at the same time. But what
fun is life if it isn't interesting?
When: 9/17/2001 3:40:00 PM
High: My digital camera is back! After months of being in the shop (on the shelf that is), I got the call that it's ready :)
Low: So, the server restarted
itself and had a disk in the drive, so it needed someone to hit enter.
That's why it was down the last 5 days ... :(
Random: Japanese don't know much about doughnuts. That's what I learned from Michael's recent trip...
When: 9/12/2001 10:09:00 AM
High: Being in a good place, and
not losing anyone close to me. That and when congress sang "God Bless
America"... That was really something.
Low: The fact that something so
horrible could happen that it's still hard for me to work out in my
mind. The magnitude is too much to grasp. I watch the video and still
act as if it's a movie.
Random: On fewer days than the last couple have I been so proud to be an American. I know that we'll get through this.
When: 9/6/2001 9:44:34 PM
High: Finally getting this server online!!!! It's been a long task.. That, and getting my apartment :)
Low: All this work. Moving, setting up stuff online, stuff at work... I'm gonna need a break in a week
Random: The old entries are on my personal computer... When I have time, I'll add them to here :)
When: 7/20/2001 3:35 PM
High: Getting the afternoon off from work because of Internet problems
Low: The stupid Code Red worm that infected my computer, took an hour to patch, and is wreeking havac on my DSL...
Random: It's weird how there's a good side and bad side to everything - even Internet problems :)
When: 6/25/2001 11:13 PM
High: So far this summer has been really cool. Works good, the house is good, everything is good. Plus, neither my bike or car are in the shop :)
Low: Starting school, but my 1 class isn't that bad, though it'll make me that much busier
Random: I often put contentment in a box and expect it to be where I look. Though contrary, I like being surprised :)
When: 6/10/2001 8:19 PM
High: My dad coming down this morning to help me out.
Low: My car getting rear ended last night and finding out today it could be totalled. That and I'm really sore - my arms, right leg, and neck.
Random: It's so weird with all of these accidents recently with people I know...
When: 6/3/2001 4:23 PM
High: My room is clean, business is great, I saw Shrek (great movie!), and I've been hanging out with cool people :)

Random: Sequels to "I Know What You Did Last Summer": "I Still Know What You Did Last Summer", "I Haven't Forgotten What You Did Last Summer", "I Forgot"
When: 5/17/2001 11:24 PM
High: Lots of highs, the retreat last weekend for ACF (it was awesome), and just the abundance of friends and encouragement right now.
Low: Absolute exhaustion, physically, mentall, and spiritually. The last week has drained me to nothing. It's a great starting point, tho :)
Random: I can't wait fot the summer. All that time to relax... :)
When: 5/9/2001 6:44 PM
High: This great weather today and a fun lunch this afternoon with my teammates at work.
Low: The huge amounts of homework and projects I have... No time for hobbies or sociality.
Random: You can tell how busy D.G. is by how often he updates this section...
When: 4/13/2001 1:26 PM
High: I'm feeling better - I was sick yesterday and days before...
Low: I'm still kinda sick, but it's all good
Random: Yes, Bob, the "D.G. cam" is down... I had to reboot my computer last night and forgot to restart the cam server...
When: 4/4/2001 6:48 PM
High: Gettin' some good work done today at work. Finally finished something that I've had to put off for a long time.
Low: I am soooooooo tired like you wouldn't believe. This time change plus lack of sleep is really getting to me.
Random: The crows search for squirrel-cicles in the cool spring morn only to find an empty courtyard.
When: 3/26/2001 3:48 PM
High: It's Spring Break! Woo Hoo! No school or homework for 1 week! Yahoo! No going to class or taking tests for 1 week!
Low: Wait a second... I work 40+ hours a week... And I take online classes... And everyone left for cool places while I'm in Eugene...
Random: Well, at least I can get some programming done :)
When: 3/21/2001 9:21 AM
High: School is done for the the term! Yahoo! It feels good to have my evenings and weekends free again :)
Low: Well, not too much of a low... Well, aside from the punk students all getting spring break while have to work! :-P
Random: I like programming. It's scary. Some days I would rather program than sleep or eat. Is this a good thing or a bad thing? I like photograpy more, which is very scary.
When: 3/14/2001 1:29 PM
High: The weather is nice, and the term is almost over... So close...
Low: Midterm today. Midterm Saturday. Two papers. -sigh- At least it'll be over soon.
Random: All of a sudden, those Nokia's that used to look so small look so big. Thanks, Panasonic :)
When: 3/12/2001 11:28 PM
High: For a Monday, today went very well. I was on my feet most the day, which is a nice change from being set on certain things.
Low: Two midterms, two papers, one week... I'm going to be doing a lot of studying...
Random: I've been getting these cravings for vegitables... But then I eat too many vegies and feel sick. Then I crave potatoes. -sigh-
When: 3/10/2001 2:14 AM
High: This evening was all around a good evening. I had fun talking to people I haven't talked to in a while.
Low: My triple mocha that I had this morning didn't agree with me at all.
Random: So I went off on Wilgus in my grandpa voice. It was cool and dunny. So funny, that's the way I talked when by myself
When: 3/8/2001 6:20 PM
High: It has to be the lava lamp, most definately... And I got a present for my little sister for her birthday coming up :)
Low: I'm very sad. Natural Wonder is going out of business (at least the one in Eugene that I know of).
Random: I have no idea how I'm going to get the 500+ pictures on this website, especially with taking more and more each day, but I'll get it done, oh yes, I'll get it done ;)

When: 2/25/2001 3:40 AM
High: My phone is up and working! :) :) :) :) :)
Low: The sushi wasn't that great today at Sushiland :-P
Random: The activation people said that the phone was cancelled, the sales people said it was fine. Boy, I'm glad the sales people were right :)
When: 2/22/2001 0:42 AM
High: Anticipating my phone, knowing that it's waiting for me at home in Tigard
Low: Working on this site for hours and then having a stupid ASP logic process stop me short of perfection
Random: Man, I keep thinking it's Thursday, which is odd because, on a short week, I should be think it's Tuesday. Wishful thinking, I'm guessing...
When: 2/21/2001 0:17 AM
High: The creative date tonight - it was so much fun. I didn't fall once rollerskating :)
Low: Having a midterm tomorrow and still needing to read over a bunch of material for the second time

When: 2/19/2001 12:45 AM
High: It was nice getting all that computer stuff done today - it felt productive.

Random: I looked out the window and saw Jason Fong and a bunch of his friends getting out of a car in the lot next door so I yelled hi. Shortly after, I was walking to HodgePodge and Mindy parked two spaces from where Jason and them parked. All coincidence...

Low: Looks like it could be from a few days to a week on my cell phone (thanks AT&T)
Random: So I had this dream last night where I was in prison for 6 months for my speeding ticked. It was okay, though - we got field trips and the prison was coed :)
